Anne Miller teaches New Albany Elementary School second grade students from Sarah Garrett’s class about washing and ringing out clothes using a washboard, tub, and a ringer during Pioneer Days at the Union County Heritage Museum.

Ingomar resident Dale Adair is the owner of two week-old twin Black Angus calves. Daisy and Buttercup were born March 10 and were twin heifers from their mother, Tulip. Union County Extension Agent Stanley Wise said, “Twins in Angus cattle occur in about one out of 100 births and twin heifers are even rarer.”

Students enjoy last year’s summer art camp, which will be taught by Lee Ann Thompson again this year.
