I previously worked as an associate editor and feature article writer for Miller Wood Trade Publications. I have extensive experience as a news and feature reporter and photographer at the New Albany Gazette newspaper in New Albany, Miss. I was also a feature writer and photographer for the Spring and Fall editions of the New Albany Magazine, Explore Magazine, and the Home and Garden Magazine. Over the course of seven years, I have extensively covered every news and feature story and/or event in the city and county as well as every club meeting, the opening of every new business, and more. During this time, I have developed excellent working relationships with community leaders, public servants, community members, and stakeholders, and used those connections to obtain critical information for news and feature stories.

My professional skill set includes knowledge of AP style, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, writing press releases, and more. I have received many accolades with the Mississippi Press Association and have had my photos published in publications worldwide through the Associated Press.

 

I would like to further my career in the field of communications, whether it's with a newspaper or magazine, public relations, or being a communications coordinator. I am willing to learn anything and everything in order to do a great job.
